' Functional Art ' ... These are the keywords that lead to a thriving industry of enormous furniture to newer heights of modern furniture design. With companies like B.R.F that provides a forum for designers of contemporary furniture in Italy, there is no stopping the volatile team that thrives on research and innovation, keeping a keen eye that color plays with style changes.




Massimo Iosa Ghini-modern furniture Designer


The Tran-Tran ' collection designed by Italian furniture designer Massimo Iosa Ghini whose proactive mind has taken him from designing comic design objects, sets, studio equipment and producing various art and film clips, graphic designing Dinamic-based formal usage of the curve, seen as an element which can be controlled through production management systems. This piece won Iosa Ghini Roscoe Award in the United States setting a trend for European furniture design that has never looked back. His projects have been featured in publications around the world and are exhibited in private collections and contemporary art and design museums, the Design Museum of London at the Centre Pompidou.




Marko Maran-modern furniture Designer


Another Italian furniture designer eager to B.R.F is Marko Maran, who won awards such as the IF, het industrial Ontwerp and the Australian Design Award. Its mission is to create ideas and objects inspired by a constant reflection on our lives and lifestyles that fit well with the growing awareness for making the home a satisfying emotional comfort zone, where maintenance is minimal. A statement of modern furniture design!


Furniture Designer Marco Maran are aware of this and more than happy to oblige with designs that are technology. In 1994 he got a special distinction in the competition Young & Design for the Chair "Take" with a tip-up seat. In 1995 he received the first prize at the young & Design as the best young Designer with the Chair "Sinu" plastic, going on to win the prestigious international Grandesign Award with the CHIACCHERA and also the IIDA Product Design Achievement Awards for the SCOOP Chair.




Prospero Rasulo-modern furniture Designer


The "Plastic" theme of Prospero Rasulo and his desire to give a third dimension to his works that are not flat but never intentionally voluminous, took a natural crease towards designing modern furniture.




Jerszy Seymour-modern furniture Designer


Berlin born furniture designer, Jerszy Seymour's work, the Bonnie and Clyde sofa combines a sense of fun with innovative use of materials and a raunchy humor. PlayStation Chair is part-armchair, part-chaise longue, footrests and part-table because the rounded hollow of the seat stretches a footstool or table on which the sitter can eat a meal or play with the Playstation. Because the structure in polyurethane foam without interior supports, is also lightweight and easy to transport. Currently working out of Milan, Jerszy's work is pure fun with polyurethane and as he describes is a way of mixing and scratching culture.
